Capewell in Space

This past week Capewell posted an image on Facebook of a cameo one of our products had in outer space! Not only were we very excited to see this, we were even more excited to share this. Don’t worry if  you’ve missed the post or don’t follow us on Facebook yet though! We’ve decided to post our exciting image right down below!

This is a screenshot from a new game called Call of Duty Ghosts, and in the photo above this astronaut is gracious enough to show off our Frost Parachute Release.

What you may not know however, is this isn’t the first time Capewell has had items in space! (Animated or not!)

The video above, of the Mars Exploration Rover in 2003, shows the rover taking its exciting decent to the surface of Mars. If you move the timeline to about 2 mins and 50 second however you will see the payload as it is being lowered to the planets surface. If you’re not sure you’re in the right spot of the video, you will see the parachute at the top left of the frame while Capewell’s EDD (emergency decent device) variant is in use!

Not only are we proud to use our products on Earth, we’re ecstatic to say that Capewell has reached the final frontier as well!
